We’re heading into the Spring and Summer months here at Kihei Kai. Though the weather has stayed just about the same, the guests who come and join us bring a whole new atmosphere to Kihei Kai. We love gathering with everyone and watching the sunset, celebrating holidays, and are also happy to see people out exploring and enjoying all that Maui has to offer. The end of February and beginning of March brought more wonderful guests and fun gatherings to Kihei Kai’s doorstep. Though we had a few windy days this month it did not stop everyone from enjoying friends and fun. We enjoyed a shrimp boil, pu-pu parties, pineapple pulls, barbeques, potlucks, and lots of beautiful sunsets!

Thanksgiving Celebration
We held our annual Kihei Kai Thanksgiving potluck in November after a two year hiatus. Delicious food served along with a beautiful sunset view made for a great evening meal. Goodbye Andy & Salah
We want to sincerely thank Salah and Andy for the job they have done at Kihei Kai over the last 16 months. Their efforts from learning the business basically from scratch, dealing with the flood, navigating the aftereffects of Covid on the rental business and teaching our new managers the ropes have not gone unnoticed. We wish them well in their future endeavors and are glad to have them as a part of Kihei Kai’s history.

Trimming Trees
Can you see the tree trimmer all the way up the palm tree? It is amazing what maintenance is required for a Maui condo upkeep, but oh boy is it worth it!

New Management Team
We want to officially announce the arrival of our new Management team here at Kihei Kai! In December, Christy will be taking on the roll of Rental Manager and Ethan will be the new Property Manager.
Christy and Ethan met in 2014 while traveling in Australia and just recently got married in July 2022. When this opportunity to move to Maui presented itself they were excited to come back to the island where Ethan grew up. Both of them are looking forward to joining the team at Kihei Kai to work with the dedicated owners and help guests enjoy their Hawaiian experience.

Our Beachfront is Back!
If you’ve been following along our other socials, you would have seen the bite-sized chunk taken from our lawn last December. Building back the lawn and establishing grass on the beachfront allowed us to install brand new umbrellas! We are ready for beachfront socials and Sweet Sugar Beach Summer sunset viewings once again.

Storm Recovery
Kihei Kai has made a quick recovery from the storm in early December. Everything is almost back to normal, the only thing that we are still working on is recovering our beachfront lawn. As you can see in the picture below, the sugar beach sunsets are better than ever and a number of our guests are still able to enjoy the stunning views.
In Hawaii, the Galactic Core (the brightest spot of the Milky Way) is visible roughly from February to September. For more information on the Galactic Core, visit the link below.
Things To Do
Twin Falls is part of Wailele Farm that is privately owned and funded on donations, parking fees and profits from their farm stand. They have been in business since 1977. There are lower falls and an upper falls. The lower falls are very close to the parking lot and relatively easy to access. The upper falls are over a mile round trip and can take you through riverbeds.
